OUR APPROACH TO PLANNING & DESIGN
We divide the planning journey into three phases. Planning, Design, and Execution. Each phase is carefully crafted to ensure a seamless and personalized experience for our client, allowing us to stay focused on the important priorities during each phase, and make sure we have the proper pieces in place to create an unforgettable event.
PASSION FOR CREATIVENESS
With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creativity, we specialize in creating bespoke designs that reflect your style.
During the design phase, we map out every detail of your wedding celebration to create a design that is cohesive and authentic to you. Our approach is based on our unique process that infuses your personality and aesthetics into every detail. We create mood boards, design plans, sketches, and floor plans, and select creative vendor partners that suit your style.
PUTTING THE DOTS TOGETHER
In the last few weeks leading up to the wedding, we move to execution mode. The planning is done, and it’s time to finalize all vendors' confirmations, create detailed itineraries and timelines, organize transportation, and ensure all details are ready for installation before the big day. Our team will be on-site throughout your wedding to produce the atmosphere we planned, oversee each detail, and see you through the end of the night.
IT ALL STARTS GETTING TO KNOW YOU AS A COUPLE
Getting to know you as a couple, your preferences, priorities, and love story, is the foundation of the planning process. Next, we work together in managing your overall budget and securing your vendors. The goal is to understand your priorities, create a realistic budget, and match you with the perfect team of professional partners.

Hi! I’m Carol Guedes, the principal planner and creative mind behind FLYING LITTLE BIRDS.
Originally from Brazil, I’ve studied and worked in Europe, and since 2005, I have called Brooklyn Heights my home, where I am raising my family and fulfilling my dream life.
Over 10 years ago, I merged my extensive corporate planning experience with my passion for design and founded Flying Little Birds: A Wedding Planning & Design firm based in the heart of New York City. Since then, I have had the privilege and honor to be trusted with planning, designing, and executing one of the most important days of my clients’ lives.
My passage through the Parsons School of Design and broad exposure to cultures and languages opened me to many design possibilities. It facilitates my connection with my clients, which allows me to build their stories through bespoke designs and authentic experiences.
I am so thrilled that today I get to spend every single day doing what I love most – working with life celebrations! It’s a personal passion, commitment, and respect for celebrating life through creating intentional and thoughtful celebrations.
I am inspired by my couples, connecting with new cultures and people, intrinsic designs and artwork, family moments, the infinite view of the ocean, and, of course, the streets of NYC!
